Dear Parents,

As you all know, we held our annual Main Event on April 21. This is my second year attending this gala, and I was again touched by the generosity of the Moeller Family. It's truly heartwarming to see so much support for this event. Although the final numbers won't be in for a little while, I know that we have broken another record in support of our tuition assistance efforts for our students. The Fund-A-Need alone raised just over $243,000, which means our very generous anonymous donor will match that amount.

We are so blessed and I remain truly grateful to all of you who continue to support our efforts with your time, your gifts, your talents, and your prayers.

Dear Moeller Family,

I wanted to take a quick moment to let you know that we’ve passed a big marker in our Annual Fund (AF) for this 2011-12 fiscal year. To date, our AF total is at $1,001,410.37, working toward our goal of $1.25 million.

Of this to-date total, I think it’s particularly worthwhile to mention that last year’s seniors have contributed almost $4,900 toward a fund in memory of their 2011 classmate, Josh Pflum. Plus, they’ve pledged over $16,000 more. Quite a tribute to such a young group!  

The 2011-12 Annual Fund, to date, has seen 835 unique donors make a total of 1,194 gifts.

Additionally, our Named Scholarships have grown both in number established and the spendable dollars that they generate. This year, almost $140,000 will be distributed to deserving students who qualify under different criteria across all those Named Scholarships.

A specific thanks goes out to Advancement Director Debbie Geiger and her team for developing a good plan for the fiscal year and then working extremely hard to execute that plan to date.

A more general thanks goes out to all of you for your partnership with us as we continue to focus on our shared mission to provide an integral, quality education for your sons. You have entrusted us with their holistic development – mind, body, heart, and spirit. You have shared your time, talent, and treasure to ensure your sons receive a world-class education in the Marianist tradition. With your support, we will continue to pursue our development and stewardship efforts and reach our goals. Your sons – our Men of Moeller – deserve no less.

Dear Moeller Family,

A very sincere congratulations to Jim Elfers, Sally Nugent, and Connie Ring for being deservedly honored yesterday at our annual Founder’s Day celebration. As the entire school gathered to celebrate the Eucharist and our sense of community, we also celebrated the invaluable contribution that these three individuals have made to support our Marianist Tradition. Their selflessness in educating for service, justice, and peace is a real living presence.

Just as we thank Jim, Sally and Connie for their unwavering service, we continue to thank all in the Moeller Family for their continued support of our young men.
