Mason Invitational Results….Week Three Update

In a stacked and highly competitive meet full of State ranked teams, the Crusader Cross Country Team finished 6th of 19 teams with 187 points at the Mason Invitational hosted at Corwin-Nixon Park in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

For the Varsity race, Junior Owen Speed was Moeller’s top finisher in 11^th place in 16:23 (out of 153 runners). Also scoring: Junior Brock Grubert (24^th – 16:43), Junior Zach Lazor (46^th – 17:10), Junior Preston Wesley (54^th – 17:27), and Freshman Paul Eckstein (68^th – 17:52). Rounding out Varsity were Jake Jankowski, Steve Schuette, Carson Todd, Duncan Shirley, and Murphy Maynes.

In the JV/Open race, that squad finished 8^th of 16 teams with 248 points. Crossing the line first for Moeller was Junior Jake Allen in 86^th place (out of 369 runners) with a time of 19:29. Also scoring were Garret Keller, Hayden Sorg, Finn Taylor, and Jacob Scott.

The team returns to racing on Saturday, September, 14th, 2024, with a split squad with the Varsity “Gold” squad running in the Troy Twi-Light Invitational at Troy Stadium in Troy, Ohio with a 9:30pm start; while the Varsity “Blue” squad will be running at the St. Xavier Invitational at St. X High School with a 11am start.
